She was born April 23, 1935 in French Village.
Shirley was an employee of the Biltbest Window Corporation for over 25 years. She loved flowers and board games and a good joke, but most of all she loved to travel that’s when she was happiest. She was loved by many and brought joy to her family and friends. She loved her sister Janet Gowen greatly and loved spending times with her talking and laughing. Her family appreciated the people at the dialysis center in Perryville, Missouri which after ten in a half years became family. She was loved and enjoyed her extended family at Independence Care Center in Perryville. She had many nieces and nephews that brought smiles to her face. When asked how she was she always said I’m sweet, kind, and beautiful. This was a phrase that her grandpa Stroup gave to her as a child. She had a smile and laughter that will be missed. Her family wants to extend a great appreciation for Crown Hospice they were wonderful to us at this time.
