Scott William Myers, 42, of Warrensburg passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021 at home with his family after a 19-month battle with cancer.
He was born Aug. 5, 1978 in Ste. Genevieve to parents Norbert and Gail (Grither) Myers.
He graduated from Perryville High School in 1996 and received his B.S. in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University in 2000. He also received his MBA from Boston University in 2006.
Scott proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as an officer working in various finance squadrons from 2001-2006. During his military career he also deployed to Kirkuk, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as a budget officer.
Scott met his wife Niki (Trapp) in Madison, Wisc. when he took a financial advisor position at Oscar Mayer. They were married Oct. 3, 2009 in Ste. Genevieve. Scott and Niki enjoyed living in Madison for several years where they later welcomed their first child, Luke.
In 2012, Scott took a position with the Air National Guard, where he reached the rank of Major with the 131st Bomb Wing, and the family moved to Warrensburg.

There, they welcomed twins Keira and Owen to the family.
Scott enjoyed spending time with his family, especially visiting Union Station and the National WWI Museum in Kansas City. He also enjoyed sharing his love of classic cars with his family and friends.
Scott is survived by his wife, Niki Myers; his children, Luke, Keira, and Owen Myers; his parents, Norbert and Gail Myers; his sister, Lisa Myers; and his maternal grandmother, Della “Pat” Grither.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Cletus Grither and his paternal grandparents Louis and Idabelle Myers.
A funeral mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warrensburg.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
The family will receive friends and loved ones from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.
