Sattler chosen as president of Missouri EDC

Scott Sattler, executive director of the Perry County Economic Development Authority, was named president of the Missouri Economic Development Council Wednesday morning at the organization's statewide conference held at Lake of the Ozarks.

"I'm honored to be elected as their president," Sattler said.

Previously, he has served as secretary, treasurer and, most recently, vice president, with the group.

His 2021-2022 term as president of the organization officially starts Thursday, July 1.

The board leadership committee consists of about 35 individuals includes more than 400 economic developers from across the state, Sattler said.

The organization helps foster economic development and works with the state legislature in efforts to make the state more business friendly

Sattler said a leadership role in the organization is a five-year committment.

He began as secretary, and has spent time as treasurer and vice president.

The organization's annual conference took place June 15-17.
