Russell J. Lappe

Russell Joseph Lappe, 80, of Perryville passed away Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 7, 1941 in Friedheim, to Walter Joseph and Loraine (Berkbigler) Lappe.
He and Carol Zoellner were married Oct. 24, 1959 at the Assumption Church in Perryville. He was self-employed with Lappe Cement.
Russell was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion Booster.
Survivors include one daughter and three sons, Rusty (Sondra) Lappe of Perryville, Lori (Terry) Wibbenmeyer of Perryville, Randy (special friend, Melissa Hayden) Lappe of Friedheim, and Tim (special friend, Amy Hector) Lappe of Perryville; one brother, Willard Lappe of Alton, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchilren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Carl “Buddy” Lappe and one sister, PansyWillis.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 23, 2021 and 8 to 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville. Rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m.
Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021 at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle with the Rev. Patrick Christopher officiating.
Burial will be at St. Maurus Catholic Cemetery in Biehle.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle.
