Ruby J. Steffens

Ruby J. Steffens, 87, of Farrar passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark.
She was born Oct. 13, 1934 in Farrar to Herbert and Eugenia (Burroughs) Lorenz.
She and Arlan E. Steffens were married May 29, 1954 at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar.
She worked as a Homemaker and was a custodian at Salem Lutheran Church.
Ruby was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, LWML, Ladies Aid, Salem Lutheran Church Choir, FCE Extension Club, and was a Sunday School Teacher for many years.
Survivors include her husband, two sons, Keith (Pamela) Steffens of Fort Collins, Colo., Daniel (JoAnn) Steffens of Farrar; three daughters, Beverly Buerck of Perryville, Gail (Tom) Clampitt of Jackson, Lori (Wendell) Valleroy of Old Appleton; brother, Verlin (Mona) Lorenz of Wentzville; sister, Nancy (Bob) Mantz of Farrar; sister-in-law, Carol Lorenz of Farrar; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Earl Lorenz and Cheryl Lorenz; son-in-law, Lynn Buerck, great-grandchild, Beau.

Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 23, 4-8 p.m. at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville and Monday, Jan. 24, 9-10 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar.
Funeral service will be Monday, January 24, at 10 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, with Rev. Roger Abernathy officiating.
Burial will be at Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Farrar.
Memorial contributions may be given to Salem Lutheran Church or Saxony Lutheran High School.
