Ronald E. Holifield, 74, of Laughlin, Nev., formerly of Perryville, recently passed away in his home with his wife beside him on April 16, 2021.
He was born on Nov. 16, 1946 in Malden to W.E. (Bill) Holifield and Amie E. (Heider) Holifield, of Perryville, who survives.
He leaves behind his wife, Brenda, of Laughlin, Nev. and son, Brad (Brenda) Holifield of Perryville; grandchildren Chad Huber and Amanda (Erik) Granito and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Wayne Holifield and a sister, Cheryl Brace, both of Perryville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Ron graduated from Arcadia Valley High School in 1964 and went into the U.S Army. He was stationed in Germany for three years and upon re-enlisting he was sent to Vietnam where he spent three years fighting in the war.
He was a man of many skills and talents. He worked as a mechanic for Mid-Way Ford of Perryville, tow truck driver for Andy King of Perryville. He had his own trucking company running coast to coast for many years. He was a salesman of autos and trailers, worked as a private investigator in the state of Nevada and probably a few more occupations we don’t know of. He tried retiring several times, but could not just sit around and do nothing.
He was preceded in death by his father, one sister, Delores Archer, and a nephew, Matthew Archer.
His body was donated to science in hopes of finding a cure for cancer.
