Perryville baseball earns three all-district honors

Perryville baseball was much improved this season, so it only makes sense that they would have some recognition when it came to postseason honors.
Three players were named to the Class 4, District 2 team when it was recently announced, which includes two first team selections.
Senior Dane Lauck and sophomore Troy O’Keefe were named to the first team, while junior Adam Green was named to the second team.
O’Keefe led the Pirates in many offensive categories this season including average (.408) RBI (15), and doubles (8). O’Keefe also compiled 13 runs and 12 stolen bases.

On the mound, O’Keefe led the team with 39.2 innings pitched, a 4-2 record, and a 2.47 earned run average. O’Keefe also had 51 strikeouts on the season.
Lauck was equally dominant on the season on the mound, with 31 innings pitched, a 4.51 ERA, and a .242 batting average against and 62 strikeouts. Lauck also hit for a .338 average with two triples, nine RBI, and 19 runs scored.
Green hit for a .289 average with six doubles and one home run and 13 RBI.
Green had one of the two home runs hit by Perryville this season.
Perryville finished 8-18 this season.
