The Perry County Economic Development Authority director will be starting a new job in early 2022.
Scott Sattler, who has served as the Perry County EDA since October 2011, announced his plans to resign the position and start a new venture with Thomas P. Miller Associates.
“I’ll be a senior strategic advisor for that company,” Sattler said.
City of Perryville administrator Brent Buerck will serve as the EDA’s interim director while a nationwide search to find a replacement is conducted.
Sattler will not be moving as part of his new job but instead working remotely.
“It’s a great community, I’ve really enjoyed it and that’s why I’m staying here,” Sattler said.
As part of his economic development report Tuesday evening, Sattler didn’t have any specific issues to address the Board of Aldermen on, other than to officially announce his departure.
“This is my last official meeting,” Sattler said. “I just wanted to publicly thank the mayor, the aldermen and working with Brent (Buerck).”
