Othmar J. Berkbuegler

Othmar J. Berkbuegler, 80, of Biehle passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Estates of Perryville.
He was born Oct. 16, 1940 in Perry County to Frank and Cordula (Baer) Berkbuegler. He and Nancy L. Bohnert were married September 15, 1962 at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle. She survives.
Othmar had worked as a maintenance technician. He was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and small engine repair.
Other survivors include two sons, Randy (Lavonna) Berkbuegler of Troy, Roger (Alice) Berkbuegler of Perryville; two brothers, Florian (Sally) Berkbuegler, Ronnie (Marilyn) Berkbuegler; one sister, Mavis Lawrence; seven grandchildren, Amber Walter, Lauren Gosney, Roger Berkbuegler Jr., Ashley Berkbuegler, Abby Hlavaty, Madeline Hlavaty, Rudy Hlavaty Jr.; and three great-grandchildren, Elijah Walter, Henry Walter and Isaac Gosney.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Penny Hlavaty.
Friends were called at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville on Monday, April 19 and on Tuesday, April 20 Funeral Mass was Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle with the Rev. John Schneider officiating. Burial will be at Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Crown Hospice.
