The Perryville Area Chamber office staff and board of directors are in full Mayfest mode! We are so excited to get to celebrate our Hometown Heroes and the Perry County Bicentennial. Our schedule is nearly complete. Wednesday, May 5 begins our Mayfest Carnival located on the American Legion Parking Lot and runs through Saturday, May 8. Carnival ticket pre-sales have begun and will continue through Tuesday, May 4, at noon. You can purchase them at the Chamber office, the Bank of Missouri bypass location, First State Community Bank, Rozier’s Hallmark and Enterprise Bank. Mother’s Day weekend will kick off with the parade beginning at 6 p.m. Friday night traveling from City Park, down East Sainte Marie and left on Main Street. Parade entry winners will be announced on the Stage (Downtown Plaza) at the end of Parade. You can get your parade application on the Mayfest Facebook page or at the Chamber office.
Our Friday night entertainment is the Deuce Denninger Band. Starting at 7 p.m., there will be a Rotary Washer Tournament, great food and drinks.
Saturday festivities begin at 9 a.m. with our Craft Fair hosting over 100 vendors. Kickin Kountry will be on our Main Stage from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The American Homes Realty Diaper Derby will be in front of the stage at 10 a.m. Bring your little ones and sign up that day. The Intention Band will be on the stage from 7 to 11 p.m. The washer tournament starts at 5 p.m. Come out and spend the day shopping, enjoying good food, listening to music and celebrating our Hometown Heroes and the Bicentennial.
Beginning Thursday evening, May 6, be aware of street closings and no parking. Signs will be put up earlier in the week to let you know when the streets will be closed and when the no parking takes effect. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and patience.
