New Chamber Board of Directors to start Jan. 27

I am looking forward to 2022! Our new Board of Directors will be sworn in at our annual meeting this month. Caitlin Pistorio will become our Past President and we will be welcoming Brandie Mantz as the President for this year. We have one board member, Justin Pyland, who will be retiring. Justin has been a great asset to the Chamber Board and we thank him for his service. He will be replaced by Emily Blyzes. Emily is enthusiastic and will be a great addition to the current board.
Leadership Perryville will begin in March and continue through October. Call the office to register. It’s a great opportunity to learn about Perryville businesses and get a behind the scenes look.
Chamber Business After Hours are being scheduled. This is a great way to showcase your business and invite Chamber members and the community to learn about your business in a relaxed networking atmosphere. Please call the office to reserve.
We are working on our 37th Annual Mayfest (May 4-7) and want to encourage the community to consider volunteering for this event. It is a fun way to contribute to the community.
There are four Coffee and Connections scheduled for 2022. They will take place the second Wednesday of March, June, September and November.
Be sure to mark your calendar for our X2quisite Women’s Leadership Conference on Friday, Sept. 16.

The Chamber will be awarding scholarships to our local high schools, St. Vincent’s, Perry County District No. 32 and Saxony Lutheran. The Chamber is a volunteer/membership organization and I encourage all Juniors and Seniors to volunteer at Chamber events. Please see your councilor for the application.

The Perryville Chamber of Commerce began in 1923 with a dedicated Board of Directors and soon we will be celebrating our 100-year anniversary.
The Chamber Cookbook- 200 Years of Home Cooking in Perry County are on sale at the Chamber office for $20. One hundred pages of treasured recipes including the full Sesquicentennial cookbook from 1971.
