Maxine M. Abernathy, 94, of Perryville passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021 at Delmar Gardens South in St. Louis.
She was born July 4, 1927 in Belgique to Thurman J. and Chloe A. (Weith) Colin.
She and Orville F. Abernathy were married July 27, 1946. He preceded her in death Jan. 19, 2000.
Maxine had worked at the Shoe Factory and was a homemaker. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Berean Bible Class in Perryville.
Survivors include her daughter, Joy (Wayne) Schloss of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Lisa (Al) Chenot and Tim (Julie) Schloss, six great-grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Jacob, Sara, Joey and Henry.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation was Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
Funeral Service was Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021 at Immanuel Lutheran Church Perryville with Rev. Mathew Marks officiating.
Burial was at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
