Mary C. Dippold, 89, of Perryville passed away Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2021 at the Independence Care Center in Perryville.
She was born Oct. 28, 1931 in Apple Creek to Herman and Cordula (Winschel) Ponder.
She and Leslie L. Dippold were married Sept. 24, 1955. He preceded her in death March 23, 2019.
Mary worked for Southwestern Bell as a switchboard operator and lastly worked for Walmart as a stocking clerk. Mary had a special interest in her pets and spoiling them was the joy in her life. She loved picking up pecans from the pecan tress on her farm; One fall she picked up over 700 pounds of pecans.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Perryville.
Survivors include four brothers, Donald (Nita) Ponder of St. Louis, MO, Glennon (Faye) Ponder of Eureka, Francis ‘Fritz’ (Joan) Ponder of St. Mary and David (Sandy) Ponder of Houston, Texas; and one sister, Jane (Terrell) Weaver of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leslie L. Dippold; one brother, Herman Ponder; and one sister, Dorothy Ponder.
Visitation was at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Matthew Marks officiating.
Burial was at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
