Perryville junior Derek Martin finished 16-over-par after two rounds at the Class 3 State golf tournament at Twin Hills Country Club in Joplin to finish in a three-way tie for 25th. Martin shot 79-81—160 to tie with sophomore Jace Little from St. Charles West Boonville’s Brooks Paulsen. Dexter’s Fredric Nesselrodt
won first place, with an 11-under-par 133, nine strokes ahead of second-place finisher Eli Cummings of Eldon. Nesselrodt opened the tournament with 66 and dropped a single stroke in the second round, turning in a 67 to top the field of 92 golfers.
