A Chaffee man suffered moderate injuries last week when he was struck by a pickup truck on Interstate 55 north of Perryville. According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Marshall S. Kilburn, 47, had pulled off the road on the southbound side of I-55 near the 139 mile marker to change a tire on his truck, a 1999 Ford F250. Another truck, a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 driven by Timothy M. Suhanich, 51, of Sparta, Wis., crossed the fog line, causing the trailer he was pulling to strike a trailer attached to Kilburn's vehicle and Kilburn. The accident occurred at approximately 4:05 p.m. on Monday. Nov. 25. Kilburn was transported by Perry County Ambulance to Perry County Memorial Hospital for treatment. According to the report, Suhanich was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was uninjured. Both trucks suffered what was described as moderate damage and were towed from the scene. Kilburn's Ford was towed by Hunsaker Towing and Suhanich's Dodge was towed away by Perry County Towing.
