Lynn Schnurbusch, 71, of Perryville passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Lynn was born July 24, 1949 to Howard and Alice (Biri) Schnurbusch of Perryville.
Lynn married his high school sweetheart Karen Zoellner on November 14, 1970 at Christ the Savior Church in Brewer. From the early years together starting a home and family until Lynn’s death, they’ve been faithfully at one another’s side for 50 years. Anyone who knows Lynn and Karen has seen what love is.
Lynn was a Petty Officer 3rd Class in the U.S. Navy serving as a key-punch operator on the USS Sperry from 1971 to 1973.
Lynn worked as an accountant at Sabreliner for over 35 years. Upon retirement, he worked part time for The Bank of Missouri as a courier.
Coworkers were always happy to see his smiling face. He was the type of coworker you’d like to chat with anytime you saw him.
Carpentry and cars were two of his main hobbies. As a car lover, Lynn owned many different vehicles over the years. A couple of his favorites were his 1960 Impala and 1972 Le Mans.

Lynn was an accomplished handyman. He completed several major renovations at the family home. These often became family projects as he worked alongside his grown children.
He shared his talent with family, assisting his children with home projects and building furniture for his wife and children.
Lynn is survived by his wife, Karen; his four children, Brian (Rebekah) Schnurbusch, Jared (Carrie) Schnurbusch, Erik (Candice) Schnurbusch, and Lisa Schnurbusch; his three grandchildren, Scott, Jenna, and Claire; and his brothers, Dennis Schnurbusch and Kenneth Schnurbusch.
