Letter to the Editor: The buck stops here

To the editor:

I very much liked your editorial — especially asking where the buck stops.
Parson clearly is not taking the role we asked him to. He is the one who makes the decision to open, and with what conditions. There are vulnerable people who need his guidance and protection.
He needs to be more specific about the opening conditions because all people do not exhibit the highest degree of judgment and discretion. Some of them are actual or de facto guardians of vulnerable humans — from infants to the aged and infirm among us.
I’m concerned that those vulnerable populations are not particularly well-served by that decision.
God help us.
