Letter to the Editor: The blame game

Posted

TO THE EDITOR:

When in danger or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout. You may also indulge in the old "whistle past the graveyard at night" syndrome.

We are getting a bunch of these bromides and more.

This virus that plagues us has legs. It will run its course. Most of the people who claim we should do this, not do that, are doing precision guess work known as political speak. The blame game will go on long after the sickness has quelled.

The aftereffects will be in some ways as bad as the virus. The country will not snap back to yesterday and the nation go back to normal, which is not that great.

There are already some who defy the safeguards and want to ignore common sense. It could be the recovery will, in many ways, be as painful as the malady. The blame game will outlast all of the above.
