In regards to the partial skull found on the courthouse stairs. It being to over 1,500 years old. People, have you heard of Occam’s razor? The simplest answer is the truth. The partial skull being over 1,500 years old. Must belong to an indigenous tribe. It could belong to the Missouria tribe or the Chickasaw/Delaware/Illini/Kanza
Or any other tribe that was in Missouri. There is a burial mound right outside Ste. Genevieve.
You can see it as you go into town on the right hand side. Someone in the area must have been doing some digging and came upon the part of the skull. What the person should have done was this: Alerted the proper authorities. Then trained archaeologist to come to the site and do a proper excavation of the area.
No telling what else could have been found. I say to the person who found the partial. Please come forward to tell it was found. If you did find a burial found. It could add to our history.
