Dear Editor
As our nation's seniors struggle to make ends meet on fixed incomes, it's unconscionable that our government continues to burden them with property taxes. These individuals have worked hard to own their homes and in this Biden economy, it's especially morally wrong to force them to choose between paying taxes or paying for essential needs like sky-high-priced food and very expensive healthcare.
Seniors have already contributed to our society; it's time for us to give back. Exempting seniors from property taxes is a simple yet compassionate solution. Let's support our elderly community and give them the financial peace of mind they deserve.
It is immoral for the Government to charge you for the right to own your own car or truck. Your personal property is not really your property if you have to rent it from the Government, now, is it?
