Letter to the Editor: Community deserves truth from those who serve on local boards

To the Editor:
THE CEO AND PRIVATE BOARD AT PCMH NEED TO ATTEND TO THE PEOPLE’S BUSINESS!
Our community hospital belongs to Perry County. It’s CEO and Private Board has stated in the same sentence, our hospital is “NOT FIXABLE” and it is in “GREAT FINANCIAL SHAPE.” Stop, our community knows something is wrong at PCMH and the residents are concerned. If we don’t stick up for what is important, we will lose it! We should not have conflict over something of importance that previously united us! In simple terms, unite us by stating what has happened on Hospital Lane.
In 2016, with $20,000,000 in cash, a death blown decision must have inadvertently been made in regards to future potential earnings of PCMH. This means PCMH will soon have zero potential for paying its bills and will need permanent assistance. Yes, the Private Board and CEO has issued a doomsday scenario for PCMH.

The Private Board with silence and non-transparency, should not be allowed to hide in their proclamation of a merger-cure is necessary to advance and improve health care. This statement by the Private Board represents only an orchestrated talking point, meant to mask a problem and enhance public opinion. This feeble statement is a far cry from that glorious day in July 2016, most of us remember when the EX-CEO stood on top of PCMH and said loud and clear, “Our Hospital is being honored as one of the top 20 rural Hospitals in the United States of America.”
Perhaps, all of the proponents of PCMH should return to yester-year’s performance, on top of the roof of PCMH and say instead: “We the People demand that our community servants tell us the Truth!!!
End of Story, or is it?
