Dear Editor
President Joe Biden announced that he is stepping down from the presidential race. I hope and pray that our nation can unite in celebrating and honoring both the man and the Office of the President of the United States. President Biden has dedicated himself to making our country one we can all take pride in. Like his predecessors, he has made decisions — some good, some challenging — in his efforts to lead our nation.
Where there may have been failures or shortcomings, It’s important to put them behind us and focus on honoring the greatness of the individual. Where is our Christian compassion? Have we forgotten it? As we open our minds to the political landscape, let’s leave the past where it belongs. It’s time to celebrate the greatness of the USA — our flag, our Constitution, and the values our forefathers held dear, like the Bible. Now, it’s our turn to choose who will be our next president. So, vote, ensuring that the process is fair and legal. Let’s move forward as a united country, trusting that everything happens for a reason. God is never late; He is always on time.
Please remember that being a Christian comes with the responsibility of being forgiving, kind, understanding, loving, loyal, and a friend when needed.
We often forget to listen, too busy shouting over the crowd to be heard. Now is the time we should be listening, quieting our minds, hearts, and spirits to hear God’s guidance and truth. Let us come together in honor of our country, for what we believe in and for what it represents.
Finally, you have a choice: you can be right, or you can be kind. Please choose to be kind, and the right will follow.
