Letter to the Editor: Biden/Trump

Gene Lyons , a newspaper columnist residing in Arkansas, is frequently featured in Cape’s
Southeast Missourian. Mr. Lyons is almost certain there will not be a Biden/Trump Rematch in 2024. Actually, there could be as many as 3 or 4 presidential nominees on the November ballot.
True, Mr. Biden’s age, 81; is a major concern. Neurologic and mental acuity can more readily deteriorate in people traversing their 80s. As for Mr. Trump, his many, many legal entanglements could abruptly bring his presidential campaign to shut down.
Will American optimism prevail throughout the 2024 election, starting with the New Hampshire presidential primary vote? Many Americans, hopefully the majority, will vote to prevent another attempted assassination of DEMOCRACY on the 6th of January, 2025.

The winner of the 2024 presidential election will most likely be the candidate-Nikki Haley?-­
-who promises to give back to America’s women the right to control their reproductive choices.
The New Hampshire primary will be held shortly after the 15th of January. The results might surprise many. It could be MAGA’s first step down the stairs leading to the Dustbin of History.
