The hardest decision a woman will ever face is not yours to make. Amendment Three guarantees every woman has the right to make decisions about her “prenatal care, her childbirth experience, her postpartum care, her birth control, her abortion care, her miscarriage care and respectful birthing conditions.” These are her decisions, not ours.
They are certainly not Josh Hawley’s and Jason Smith’s. Respectfully, they are not even the churches’ decision. Amendment Three is about control over a woman’s body and who gets to exercise that control. Our spiritual and political leaders oppose trusting her with that right. As the law stands now, the hardest decision a woman will ever face is theirs to make.
