Letter to the Editor: Vaccine

Posted

Dear Editor:
If there had been a influenza vaccine in 1918-19 during the pandemic at that time, 650,000 people need not have died, including my mother’s little 18-month old brother. She almost died, too. If there was a polio vaccine early last century, President Franklin Roosevelt would not have spent much of his life and all of his presidency in a wheelchair. My husband’s grandmother would not have spent all of hers in one.
