Welcome to spring! We can’t say thank you enough to all of our Chamber volunteers! Thank you to our Board of Directors, our Ambassadors, our sponsors and our office and event volunteers. Your dedication to the Chamber and the Perryville Community is appreciated.
Leadership Perryville kicked off this past Tuesday with Enterprise Day. Thank you to organizer Melissa Hoehn and participating businesses: Bella De Marie, Body Treats, Bella Floral, United Land Title Co., Rozier Mercantile, Summers Lane, Jackson Street BrewCo, Stark Properties and Mathis, Marifian & Richter who also sponsored lunch. We all had a great day and look forward to Industry Day next month.
Prop C.O.P.S. was the topic for our March Coffee and Connections. Perryville city administrator Brent Buerck did a great job educating all who attended. Please check out the Prop C.O.P.S. Facebook page for information.
Reminder to Perry County graduating seniors, if you are applying for the Chamber’s scholarship, you still have a week left to come in and volunteer to have those hours on your application. Please call the office to set up a time. If you are a junior and want to get a head start, you can also volunteer anytime to count towards your 2022 application.
Mayfest is scheduled for May 5-8. Our theme will stay “A Salute to our Hometown Heroes.” This is also the Bicentennial year for Perry County. We encourage everyone who is participating in the parade, craft fair or events to use both these themes for decorations and themes. Feel free to decorate your businesses in these themes as well that week. When our t-shirts are available for sale we will let you know. As in the past if businesses want to support the Mayfest the week prior, we are offering $2.00 off each t-shirt in groups of 10. We encourage businesses to let their employees wear them the week of Mayfest.
