Letter: Lack of concern troubling

To the editor:

After reading the Nov. 12 edition of the Perry County Republic-Monitor, it struck me that something wasn't right. I'm referring to pictures.

On the front page, the Veterans Day parade; on page 6A, the ribbon cutting of the new ownership of Crump’s Auto Sales; on page 9A, the poster contest sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary; and on page 9A, the Beta Lambda chapter [of Alpha Delta Kappa]'s projects.

Why aren’t the upstanding citizens of our community not wearing face coverings and/or social distancing?

With the coronavirus running rampant in Perry County, as it is everywhere else, I don't understand the lack of concern that seems to be consuming us.
