Kate was a loving wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be remembered as a wonderful teacher and principal. Those dearest to her will always cherish memories celebrating the finer things in life such as tea parties, picnics, and nail painting. She always sparkled in life and was always a vibrant and beautiful woman. Kate loved to travel, play piano, try new things, and especially eat seafood. Words cannot describe how much she will be missed. She believed that you could never have too many shoes and should wear the cute and impractical ones because they looked good with her outfit. During retirement she spent many days watching her Clydesdale horses, reading historical romance novels, and nursing orchid flowers in her sunroom. Her favorite niece was Megan.
Visitation will be at Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, MO on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm
