Judith Ann Birk, 80, of Charleston passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022, while surrounded by her loving family in Cape Girardeau.
She was born on Nov. 14, 1941 in Sikeston to the late Lyman and Monteen McCann Dame.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and retired as a bookkeeper at John Deere in Sikeston. She had also been a Real Estate Agent with Bollinger Real Estate and had previously worked as a teacher’s aide at Kelly Elementary School.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Roy Otto Birk, who she married on April 7, 1963 at Tanner Street Church of God in Sikeston, Missouri. She is survived by one daughter and two sons, Jennifer Birk-Cook (Stan Cook) of Perryville, Gregory (Jennifer) Birk of Charleston, and Daryl (April) Birk of Jackson. She was blessed with ten grandchildren: Rachel (Clay) Schmidli, Caleb (Kristi) Birk, Aaron (Linsey) Birk, Lydia Cook, Olivia Cook, Jonah Cook, Adam Birk, Lauren Birk, Megan Birk, and Jacob Birk. She is also survived by her brother and sister, Lyman L (Debora) Dame Jr. and Debbie (David) Yarbrough.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
