Harry Lee Abbott, 67, of Oak Ridge passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 at his residence.
He was born May 28, 1953 in Cape Girardeau to William M. and Mildred L. (Myer) Abbott.
He and Jacqueline “Jackie” Pohlmann were married Oct. 22, 1983 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim. She survives in Oak Ridge.
He had worked at Sabreliner in the Parts Department. He was of the Catholic Faith and a Marine Veteran of the Vietnam Era.
Harry loved hunting deer, turkey, squirrels and rabbits. He loved fishing and being outdoors. He was a good storyteller and enjoyed driving for SMTS. He enjoyed working with his hands and playing the guitar. He was a big-time St. Louis Cardinal and NASCAR fan. Harry loved meeting and talking to people, he never met a stranger. Harry loved his grandkids and family.

Other survivors include two sons, Christian (Chelsea) Abbott of Old Appleton, Dylan (Lindsey) Abbott of Sedgewickville; a brother, Larry (Helen) Abbott of Perryville; a sister, Mary (Weldon) Valleroy of Perryville; a foster brother, Richard (Connie) Kirn of Arizona; a sister-in-law, Elaine (Robert) Hoffman of Perryville; a brother-in-law, Jim Pohlmann of Perryville; five grandchildren, Kensley, Brantley, Journey, Caroline, and Carter and lots of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Terry Abbott.
Friends were called to Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville on Tuesday, May 4 and on Wednesday, May 5. Funeral Service was Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Burial was at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Friedheim.
Memorial contributions may be given to Missouri National Veterans Memorial.
