Gerald Raymond Stueve, 73, of Oak Ridge, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024 at his residence.
He was born July 21, 1951 in Cape Girardeau to Reinhold Otto and Doris Lucille (Hemmann) Stueve.
Gerald and Kathryn E. Schroeter were married October 14, 1978 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna. They were blessed with 45 years of marriage. She survives him in Oak Ridge.
He served in the Army National Guard. Gerald worked at Altenburg Hardwood for 17 years, then was a livestock and agriculture farmer. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown where he served as an usher. He was a member of the American Legion Post 133 in Perryville for 51 years.
Survivors include sister, Kathleen (Robert) Schlichting of Frohna and their two sons, Kris (Tera) Schlichting, Kent Schlichting; brother-in-laws, Ron Schroeter of Frohna, Robert (Lenae) Schroeter of Scott City and their two sons, Matthew & Andrew Schroeter, Terry (Glenda) Schroeter of Jackson, and Jerry Schroeter of Frohna.
He was preceded in death by his parents; niece, Kari Schlichting.
Visitation was Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville and Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown.
A Funeral Service was held Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown with Rev. Edward Andrada officiating. Burial was at Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Uniontown. Graveside Military Honors were provided by the American Legion Post 133 and the Delta Team.
