Fun things happening in October

Posted
As we enter the last quarter of 2020, the Chamber has a few things happening. October will be a fun and important month. We will start off with a Business After Hours on the 1st at United Enterprises, Inc. Please join us that evening from 4:30 to 6:30pm. Our Coffee and Connections will be on October 13 at the Catalyst Center. Doors open at 7:45am. Our sponsors are Diesel Engine Works and Auto Service and Dillie Traxel Architecture. Our program will be announced on the Chamber Facebook page and Instagram. October 22 will be our Fall Membership Meeting. This meeting includes voting for our 2021 new Chamber Board of Directors and our Business to Business Expo. We are adding some new fun raffles with the funds going to the Chamber’s 2021 Graduating Seniors Scholarships. Please contact the Chamber to participate and order your dinner tickets. Seats and booths are limited. Thank you to those who have agreed to be on the ballot. Incumbent Alex Lueders, United Land Title, Inc.; Amy Hager, HSB Advisors, LLC; Chris Horrell, Bug Zero; Patrick Martin, Coalter Insurance Group; Cynthia Naumann, Perryville Campground; Amanda Nuyt, Athletico Physical Therapy; Jessica Schmidt, SERVPRO of Cape Girardeau & Scott Counties; Shannon Tarrillion, Crown Hospice; Khala Young, Juste Moi Yoga & Spa. Please remember if you are unable to attend the dinner meeting, return your signed proxy to the office as soon as possible. October 29 is the annual Moonlight Madness/Trunk or Treat night. We thank all of the businesses who participate by setting up with trunks, tables, booths with treats for the children and information for the adults. Before or after trick or treating, you can shop at local businesses and grab a bite to eat at Perryville’s many restaurants. In order to give our businesses time to set up and get ready, please remember booths will open at 5:30 to give out treats. Thank you to all our sponsors, players and volunteers who came out for the Chamber and EDA Appreciation Golf Tournament. It was a fun and relaxing day, a chance to thank our Chamber Members and businesses for all you do for us and the community. The Chamber office staff receives many calls and e-mails each week asking for referrals and newcomer packets. As a Chamber member your information is given, and your business/rack cards are mailed. If you are not sure if we have your business information available, please call or just drop your information (business cards, rack cards, flyers) off at the office. If you are not a Chamber member yet, call or e-mail me and I would be happy to talk with you and answer any of your questions. If you are still looking for a place for a short vacation or one day trips, stop by the office and pick up brochures and the Missouri Travel guide. Shopping local benefits all of us. Stop in and visit our Perryville/Perry County shops and stores to see what they have to offer. There are lots of treasurers to be found right here in Perry County.
