Else Brickhaus

Else Brickhaus, 78, formally of Perryville, passed away on Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, at her home in Kempner, Texas.
Funeral Services will be at 9 am, on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022, at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX 195, Killeen, Texas 76542.
Else was born on April 1, 1944, to Albert and Hedwig (Reuter) Muth in Ludwigshafen, Germany. Else grew up in Germany and moved to the United States in 1975 to marry Richard Brickhaus. They were married on November 8, 1975. They shortly relocated to Perryville, Missouri to be closer to Richard’s family. They then moved to Kempner, Texas in 1997 to be closer to Else’s sisters.

Else had several careers ranging from factory work to working for Lampasas Independent School District as a cafeteria assistant. She also worked for Texas Foster Care and Adoption Services as a foster parent.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Hedwig Muth; six brothers; and four sisters.
Else is survived by her husband, Richard Brickhaus; children, Markus Bazzanella and Christiane Makela, and her husband, Matthew; grandchildren, Alicia, Alex, Trysten, and Miika; and four great-grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother.
