Abby Kirn
The St. Vincent High School Elks Student of the Month Award went to Abby Kirn for the
month of October.
The daughter of Jennifer and Henry Kirn of Perryville, Abby is a great example of athleticism and leadership. She has been a medalist on the SV Cross Country team, as well as the Track and Field team.
Abby has been a member of Sodality, Spanish Club, SADD Club, Art Club, National Honor Society, and our Band. She has many hours of service in Vacation Bible School, Luke 18 Retreats, Operation Overhaul, and many parish and school events. She was chosen for Girls State this past summer and is a student board member for the Vincentian Marian Youth.
Abby’s teachers said, “She is always willing to help and participate! Abby is able to manage her time well in activities while maintaining excellent grades in some of the most advanced classes SV has to offer. Abby is always kind and respectful to everyone she meets.”
Abby plans to major in physical therapy at Maryville University in Town and Country.
Xavier Pfaff
The Perryville High School Elks Student of the Month Award went to Xavier Pfaff for the month of November.
The son of Sherri Hoelscher and Chuck and Kim Pfaff, Xavier has been actively serving in National Honors Society, where he currently serves as president; Student Council, Cheerleading, Track and Field, Chamber Choir, Art Club, PP Crew, Silver Dagger Players, and Quadstate.
He has also received various awards such as “Athlete of the Month” in Cheer, All District Choir Honorable Mention, National Cheerleading Association All American, MCDA All Star for “Jumps and Tumbling.” He received a gold rating at district choir and a silver rating at state choir. Xavier is also an honor roll student.
Xavier credits Miss Davis and Mrs. Comstock at PHS with being two amazing teachers that have helped him grow as a student.
His future plans are to attend a four-year university this fall on a cheer scholarship.
