Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Grindstaff, 78, of Perryville passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born February 15, 1945 in St. Louis. Parents Melvin Dean and Elta Lydia (Blandford) Niswonger.
She and James Grindstaff were married May 21, 1999 at United Methodist Church in Perryville. He preceded her on October 21, 2021.
Betty worked in Administrative Sales for Gilster Mary-Lee, and later worked for Johnson-Niswonger Financial Resources.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Good Sam’s Camping Club. She loved to cruise, go camping, crochet, cooking and feeding her family and friends.
Survivors include Two Sons, Jeremy (Amanda) Kimmich of Cape Girardeau, Todd Braun of Dexter; Step-Son, Jamie Grindstaff of Perryville; Step-Daughter, Dana (Troy) Ferrell of Jackson; Two Brothers, Russell (Sharon) Schindler of Arnold, Darrell (Paula) Niswonger of Perryville; Fourteen grandchildren, Alyssa (Jonno) Engelking, Derek Kimmich, Payton Helfrich, Jai Helfrich, Ashleigh (Tony) Betonlini, Brittany Braun, Kelsey Braun, Brooke (fiance Jake Pohlman) Shekell, Angela Mayfield, April Grindstaff, Sarah (Tyson) Zoellner, Trey (Ashley) Ferrell, Taylor (Autumn) Ferrell, Mackenzie Ferrell; 16 great grandchildren; Nieces, Kristy Evans; Emily Davis; Nephews, Eric Schindler, Noah Niswonger.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Grindstaff; step-son Michael Grindstaff.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville and continue on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 8-10 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
Funeral Service will be at 10 am Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville with Rev. Matthew Marks officiating.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
