Edwin (Ed) Arthur Schrank, age 82, a resident of St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre died on July 28, 2024 at the Parkland Hospital in Farmington after battling dementia for several years.

Ed was born on January 2, 1942, the oldest child of the late Otto and Melvina (Solchenberger) Schrank. Ed was a 1960 graduate of the Wonewoc High School, Wonewoc, Wisconsin. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era, serving in the U.S. Army.

On October 27, 1962, he married the former Sandra K. Tyler. They were divorced in 1978. He later married the former Mary Gilley on December 27, 2004. They made their life together in Edgerton, Wisconsin and were members of the Fulton Church. Together, they enjoyed hunting, marksmanship, fishing, boating, and traveling. She proceeded him in death on April 30, 2015.

Ed worked as a Wisconsin State Trooper then as a truck driver for many years and enjoyed seeing many places in the United States. He retired in 2009. He relocated to Perryville several years ago to be near his family.

Survivors include three daughters, Tammy (Paul) Schmidt of Perryville, Tina (Timothy) Williams of Memphis, and Tiffany (Paul) Layton of Perryville. Nine grandchildren, Andrew (Alicia) Irvin, Heather Irvin, Ryan Stoudt, Courtney (Brian) Gregory, Timothy (Ashley) Williams II, Mikayla Williams, Dustin Osborne, Ashley (Travis) Price, and Hannah (Lamar) Gordon. Great grandchildren, Joshua, Trey, Sebastian, Jasper, Sophie, Elle, and Aspyn. He also will be remembered by several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. He is proceeded in death by his parents, sisters Florence Hale and Carlotta Treptow, brother Carl Schrank, wife Mary, sister-in-law June (Kowalke) Schrank, brother-in-law Herb Treptow, son-in­ law Timothy Williams, and great granddaughter Arlow Gregory.

The family would like to thank the staffs of St. Joe Manor and the Parkland Hospital for taking care of Ed during his illness. Ford and Young Funeral Home, Perryville is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials of remembrance would be appreciated.
