Dorotha Z. Schremp, 93, of Perryville passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Independence Care Center of Perry County.
She was born April 17, 1928 in St. Mary to Howard H. and Zita (Brown) Brown.
She and Melvin J. Schremp were married at Church of the Assumption in Perryville Feb. 19, 1949. He preceded her in death Sept. 20, 2005.
Dorotha was a homemaker and seamstress at Prince Gardner. She was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church and Ladies Sodality in Brewer and Elks Lodge Auxiliary in Perryville. Dorotha enjoyed piecing quilt tops together and embroidering. She loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include daughter, Joyce (Gerard) Ganahl of Maryland Heights; two sons, Michael (Bonnie) Schremp of St. Mary and Clifford Schremp of St. Mary; sister, Alice Beyatte of Ste. Genevieve; two brothers, Harold (Louise) Brown of St. Mary and Alvin (Helen) Brown of St. Mary; five grandchildren, Ryan Schremp, Derek (Brittany) Schremp, Stephanie Schremp, Danielle (Tim) Turner and Nicholas Schremp; seven great- grandchildren, Brynn Hubbard, Barrett, Corby, Nash and Hollis Schremp, Ava and Cullen Turner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Marvin Schremp and Jeffrey Schremp; daughter, Jill Schremp; three sisters, Neoma DeClue, Ruby Fementira and Joan Zeller; two brothers, Robert H. and Delmar W. Brown.
