Donald T. McAtee 86 years old of Sainte Genevieve died Monday, Sept, 13, 2021 at his home surrounded by his daughters in Sainte Genevieve.
He was born Aug. 16, 1935 in Perryville. He was married to Anna (Burgert) McAtee on Feb. 24, 1962
He was survived by five daughters, Mary Lynn (Kevin) Gettinger of Sainte Genevieve, Donna Brewster of Sainte Genevieve, Theresa Tatham of Sainte Genevieve, Annette (Brad) Basler of Sainte Genevieve, Sandra Kay (John) Kuehl of Saint Mary; two sisters, Mildred Hoehn of Perryville, Judith (John) Duvall of Perryville; seven grandchildren and two step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren; three step great-great grandchildren with one on the way
He was preceded in death by: wife, Anna Ruth McAtee; father, Claude Thomas McAtee; mother, Hester (Moonier) McAtee; son-in-law, Steve Tatham; two brothers, Robert McAtee, Jimmy McAtee; grandson, Andrew Gettinger
Visitation will be at Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 20, 2021 from 8-9:45 a.m.
Service will be at Church of Ste. Genevieve on Monday, Sept. 20, 2021 at 10 a.m.

The Clergy will be Rev. Edward Nemeth.
Masks are preferred for services.
Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve.

Donald never met a stranger, he always had a witty comment with a smile on his face and was always ready to give a whisker rub.
