Derek Edward Cox, 38, of Everett, Wash. passed away Friday, March 26 due to injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. Just like his father, Derek had a love of motorcycles. He lived both the width and length of his life.
He was born June 30, 1982 to the late Dwayne Cox and Connie (Clifton) Corse in Perryville. He and Sarah Cluck were married on Dec. 31, 2004. She survives in Everett, Wash.
He was employed by waste management and was a member of the fraternal order of the Eagles, as well as the Bandido motorcycle club.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah, his two sons Isaiah and Devon; his mother Connie (Rick Gibbar) Corse of Perryville; two brothers Daniel Corse of Cape Girardeau and Dustin (Mandy) Cox of Marble Hill.; four nephews Cameron, Conner, Dayn, and Dakota Cox; his grandmother, Darlene McLemore of Jackson; his in-laws Dwayne and Susan Cluck and brother-in-law Sean Cluck; his uncles Donald Cox II and Dave (Tina) Clifton; aunts Dana (Steve) Abel, Robin Bohnert, Diane (Paul) Jr. Kohm, Denise (Rick) Bohnert, Dawn (Ronnie) Stewart, and Darla Cox.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dwayne Cox and grandparents Donald Sr. and Vada Cox, Robert McLemore, and Earl and Nancy Clifton.
A memorial celebration of life will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Crosstown on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 1 p.m. Rev. Mike Friesz will officiate. Donations requested for family use.
