With Christmas Eve nearly here, many area churches are planning special services, both for Friday and Saturday, Dec. 24 and Dec. 25.
Included is a compilation of worship service times for local congregations, listed by denomination.
Catholic
St. Vincent De Paul in Perryville will have a 4 and 8 p.m. service on Christmas Eve. The congregation also plans 8 and 10 a.m. services Friday, Dec. 25.
Our Lady of Victory in Sereno will have a service at 4:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
The National Shrine of the Association of the Miraculous Medal will have a midnight mass on Christmas Day, with music beginning at 11:30 p.m.
Christ the Savior Church in Brewer will have a Mass at 9 a.m. on Christmas Day.
St. Maurus in Biehle has a mass at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve and at 9:30 a.m. on Christmas Day.
St. Joseph in Apple Creek has a Mass on Christmas Eve at 6 p.m. and another on Christmas Day at 7:30 a.m.
Lutheran
Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg will hold its Christmas Eve service Friday, Dec. 24, at 6 p.m. A Christmas Day service will take place Saturday, Dec. 25, at 9 a.m.
Zion Lutheran Church in Crosstown will hold a Christmas Eve service Friday, Dec. 24, at 4:30 p.m. and a Christmas Day service Saturday, Dec. 25, at 7:30 a.m.
