Charlie “Tazz” Douglas Hurst age 50 of Ste. Genevieve passed away Monday, Jan. 3, 2022 at 5:12pm. He passed away at Mercy South Hospital.
He was born June 1, 1971 in Missouri and lived in Ste. Genevieve, Perryville, Tennessee and Mississippi. Tazz was the son of John Hurst and Donna (Mark) Connor along with his sister Kim Boswell.
He is survived by his fiancé Amy Elizabeth Cawvey of Ste. Genevieve, daughters Lillian “Lilli” Hurst of Park Hills, Kayla Smith Drummonds of Tennessee, Jessica “Jess” Simmons of Memphis, Laynee “Monster” Cawvey, son Eli Cawvey of Ste. Genevieve, 4 nieces and many cousins. Tazz also had a lot of family that was made along the way during his life. Tazz believed that family isn’t just the ones that you are given but also those that become family along the way.
Tazz was preceded in death by his Grandma Hurst and his brother in life, Big Charlie.
Funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m, Friday, Jan. 14, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Ste. Genevieve 101 Basler Dr., Ste. Genevieve, MO 63670, officiated by Pastor Jeff Everard of First Baptist Church of New Offenburg.
