Catherine “Cathy” T. Unterreiner (nee Farrar) of O’Fallon passed away on Monday, Aug. 16, 2021 at her home in O’Fallon at the age of 58. She was born on July 5, 1963 to Frank and Iola (nee Clements) Farrar of Belgique. She and Joseph “Joe” Unterreier of Uniontown. were married on Jan. 21, 1984.
Survivors include her husband Joe; two sons and one daughter-in-law Paul Unterreiner and Chris and Amanda Unterreiner of St. Louis; one brother James (Charlotte) Farrar of Perryville; and two sisters Mary (Kevin) Brown of Ste. Genevieve. and Karen (Kevin) Clifton of Perryville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Iola Farrar; two brothers and a sister-in-law Eugene Farrar of Belgique and Michael and Helen Farrar of Cape Girardeau.
Cathy was a graduate of the Central Institute for the Deaf in St. Louis. Cathy cherished her family and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed photography, scrapbooking, drawing and gardening. Cathy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. There will be a private burial at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
