Calvin Martin Bachmann, 88 of Perryville, Missouri passed away December 20, 2022 peacefully in his sleep.
He was born October 11, 1934 in Perryville, MO to Theodor and Margaret (Valleroy) Bachmann.
Calvin and Lorna Dickmann were married on April 27, 1957 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, MO.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War achieving the rank of Specialist Third Class.
Calvin was an Avionic Mechanic at Sabreliner.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and American Legion Post #133. He served in the past as a City Alderman for Ward #2. He enjoyed bowling , gardening, playing cards, and going on walks with his wife Lorna.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Lisa (Scott) Esselman of Perryville, MO, Linda (Bruce) Westerman of Chester, IL; sister, Janet Feltz of Perryville, MO; five grandchildren, Kyle (Leslie) Esselman of Perryville, MO, Cory (Adele) Esselman of St. Joseph, MI, Aaron (Stephanie) Westerman of Hecker, IL, Mallory Westerman of St. Louis, MO, Mason Westerman of Chester, IL; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter Esselman, Halle Esselman, Grady Esselman, Ward Esselman, Ian Esselman, Brynn Westerman, Hayden Westerman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dan Martin Bachmann; two brothers, Robert Bachmann and Melvin Bachmann.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 and from 8:00 am to 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville with Rev. Matthew Marks officiating.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville, MO. Military Honors will be provided by the Delta Team and American Legion Post #133.
Memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
