Amanda L. “Mandy” Jannin, 50, of O’Fallon, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Sunday, March 28, 2021 at her home in O’Fallon.
She was born Dec. 15, 1970 in St. Louis to Gary V. and Beverly A.(Franklin) Jannin.
She graduated in May 1992 from Lakeview Woods State School, Lee’s Summit.
Amanda loved her family and friends very much. She will forever be cherished for her hugs and smiles. She loved to spend time on the family farms riding in the side by side “mule” and taking care of her cats and cows. A favorite joy was spending time at the creek and she loved eating out with her family at restaurants.
She was baptized at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Silver Lake.
She is survived by her mother and father; two sisters, Karen (Scott) Wedlock of Mound City, and Rebecca (Matt) Thomas of Ballwin; nieces and nephew, Emily and Hannah Wedlock, Lillian, Peyton and Lauren Thomas; paternal grandmother, Mary Lucille Jannin of Silver Lake; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Larry Joseph Jannin; maternal grandparents, Samuel and Eleanor Franklin; and paternal grandfather, Vince Jannin.
Visitation was Tuesday, March 30, 2021 and Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
Mass was Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Silver Lake with Rev. Joe Geders C.M. officiating.
Burial was at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery in Silver Lake.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Down Syndrome Society for Alzheimer’s Research or St. Rose of Lima Cemetery Fund.
