Alma Marie Mattingly

Alma Marie Mattingly, 94, of Perryville died Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Independence Care Center of Perry County.
She was born August 21, 1927 in Perry County to Edward and Thresa (Ernst) Berkbuegler.
She and Harold James Mattingly were married on April 17, 1948 at Assumption Catholic Church.
Alma was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting.
She was a member of Christ the Savior Church in Brewer and a member of the Ladies Sodality & Blessed Sacrament Sodality.
Survivors include five daughters, Dolores (Paul) Meyer of Apple Creek, Rhonda (Brian) Lally of Kirkwood, Janet (Glen) Huber of Perryville, Regina (Mark) Berkbigler of Ste. Genevieve, Doris (Ed) Kiefer of Perryville; brother, Melvin Berkbuegler of Perryville; two sisters, Mildred Zahner of Perryville, Gladys Renaud of Perryville; ten grandchildren, Theresa, John, Jeff, Patrick, Michael, Cole, Brandon, Jill, Holly, Dillon and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother George Berkbuegler.
Visitation was Saturday, August 20, 2022 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
A Funeral Mass was held Saturday, August 20, 2022 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville with Fr. Patrick Christopher officiating.
Burial was at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to Serenity Hospice or St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
