Alfred H. “Bud” Vogt, 79, of St. Mary passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021 at his residence.
He was born Nov. 10, 1941 in East St. Louis, Ill. to Alfred John and Verna Barbara (Keck) Vogt.
He and Evelyn Jean (Austin) Vogt were married on Sept. 25, 1978 in Chester. She survives in St. Mary.
Bud had worked at Sabreliner in the Lead Maintenance Department. He was a member of Brushy Baptist Church. Bud was a metal fabricator cattleman, master mechanic electrician and enjoyed camping and listening to blue grass music and old country music.
Survivors include four sons, Shane Vogt of Perry County, Craig Vogt of St. Louis, Paul Austin of Perry County, and Tuyler Hill of Perry County; three daughters, Dee Dee Moll of Perry County, Dawn Gibson of St. Louis, and Cristine (Craig) Vogt of St. Peters; daughter-in-law, Velda Vogt of Perry County; sister, Dixie Lee Hornbostel of St. Clair County, Ill.; 25 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, John Vogt and Jason Lee Austin; one brother, Terry Wayne Vogt.
Services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
